Was the "home of GL" really taken by that woman? Sean I don't think this was answered; forgive me if I missed it. No, Shirley did not take the sign. It's all just our joking around with each other. ------------------ Valerie Magee Visit my business site at mageenet.biz and Cathy Cowette's web site at cathycowette.com [This message has been edited by vlmagee (edited May 29, 2004).] |

John, very cool!!! Did you get to see all the GL sites around there? Pardon my lack of geography, but, exactly where in Canada is Orillia? And what and why is this casino so interesting? Was the "home of GL" really taken by that woman? Sean Orillia is a couple hours north of Toronto on Lake Simcoe, The Casino is so interesting because many popular recording acts have performed there. Orillia also hosts an annual perch derby which is well known among local anglers in South-Central Ontario. |
I rediscovered this old topic and thought it worth airing again
John Fowles There's a town they call Orillia, it is there of which I sing It is just above Lake Simcoe, by Lake Couchiching http://www.cottagesincanada.com/tore...tail_small.jpg |
The March issue of Reader's Digest has an article about Neil Young's life. It said he grew up in Omemee, Ontario. I looked it up and found it at 50 miles E-SE of Orillia. Also, Gordon & Neil are both Scorpios. Their birthdates are 7 years apart.Have these two musicians ever collaberated or seen each other, after all these years?

Gord and he saw each other at the Live 8 concert last year. Hey Rick, good to "see" you again!
