Thanks for joining our party here in this Hangdog Hotel Room  ,the more the merrier! ;) Have a great day and thanks for the stories. :)

Hi Walter, you brought back a memory for me, not about Gordon, but about Lake Erie. When I was 18, I had to drive to Cleveland and help someone move. We took a break and rented a small boat and went out on the lake fishing. This was in 1961. I never caught so many Perch in my life, especially in one day, must have been a hundred of them. We had some friends who lived there also, and we had a big fish fry. Was very different for me who was mainly a trout and salt water fisherman at the time. I hear tell it isn't that way anymore in the lake. Must have been I caught too many  ..Thanks for the welcome also.

Like most performers who have worked hard to get to where they are, they have very positive personalities and are in control of what goes on around them most of the time.

ooooh, I think I know what you were thinking now. NO, no no! Nothing like that! I'm not sure how Gordon stole my heart exactly, but he had the sweetest smile I've ever seen. ... (Good to know you have such respect for Gordon Lightfoot. Just so you understand, no matter what anyone thinks, no one loves and respects him more than I do.)

:) So, anyway, last weekend I was at this lake (actually it's two lakes pretty much connected together), where I once had one of the best times fishing ever. I was with my Dad and we caught so many northern. My cell phone rings - and it was a friend from California who happens to have a birthday on the same day (if I remember correctly) was the same day that Borderstone moved to California when he was a kid,(Jan.28th) That was the first time I talked on a cell phone being out there. I was just walking around the shoreline. Didn't have a fishing pole with me.

Yes, I do have a lot of respect and admiration for Gordon. I am in awe of him, and have been for years. He has written so much exceptional music of the highest quality, that I am just astounded when I listen to what he has done through all these years. He is no doubt the greatest songwriter that Canada has ever produced, and I would expect he ranks in the top 40 in the world for all songwriters. Yes, he does sing wonderfully too, but by far, his songs will live on for ages, long after we all are gone. But nope, he doesn't have my heart. I'm not that way.

lol, yeah, I had the cell phone but no fishing pole out there. I didn't plan on going to that lake when I left the house. I was just going to a greenhouse to get some plants and seeds and brought Rosy, (my black Lab). After the greenhouse, I took her to a river, and she jumped in the water a few times and didn't know that she had gotten stinky from something in the water maybe, but she kind of smelled like a skunk, so I brought her out to the lake. She was done swimming for the day, so I bought some tomato juice on the way home and washed her with that and rinsed her off, but she still stunk and she even had to go back to another lake. She's better now and all brushed pretty.

ok then, welcome John. :)

Gordon and Elizabeth have been separated for about 4 years. They have 14 year old Meredith and I think Miles is around 17..
He has said he doesn't use computers..

Thank you, I didn't know if it was a taboo subject. Some forums have it where you can't discuss personal stuff. Meredith and Miles I knew about, Gordon mentioned how he took her to a Stones concert, and then back stage to meet her idol Mick. Made her day. She thinks the Stones are way cool, but not so much for Dads music. I think as she grows up, that will change dramaticly. :)
As for computers, that may be so, but I wouldn't be sure, I know the other guys in the band do.
