I'm with the one who asked, "There are other artists?"

Seriously, I stay mostly in the country/light pop vein, what most people would consider "boring" or "depressing."

Country favorites:
Charley Pride
Johnny Rodriguez (gads, his name is hard to type)
Lacy J. Dalton
Michelle Wright
Doug Stone

Non-country favorites:
Jim Croce
Rod Stewart
Janis Joplin

Obviously I go more for older music. Even in the country genre. More Loretta Lynn, less Shania Twain.

I have been listening to Peter Mayer (www.blueboat.net) after seeing him open for David Wilcox at CSPS in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Great lyrics and a VERY athletic guitar style that has to be seen (and heard) to be believed! David Wilcox is great too!

Janice figured out my #2,Jewel.Actually it could as well be Roseanne Cash too, hard to put in any particular order so i'll have to call it a tie for 2nd...

Iron, Rosanne Cash is my favorite female performer. I've been a fan since her first American release, Right Or Wrong and have collected every album since then. Her latest, Rules Of Travel, is one of the greatest new albums I heard last year.

I also enjoy Rodney Crowell, Mark Erelli, Jack Williams, Guy Clark, Keith Urban, Slaid Cleaves, Kris Delmhorst, Berkley Hart......I listen to a lot of music http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Most of it you'll never find on commercial radio, which is a great loss, IMO.

Actually, between Allison,Jewel and Roseanne,I could not put them in any order as 123.This gives me the bumps...
