When I browse through the bin at the music store I always see many Lightfoot Tribute CD's, often more than there are actual Lightfoot CD's, but are any of them worth buying? I haven't heard any mentioned here. Right now I'm not really interested in hearing anyone do Lightfoot but Lightfoot himself, but I am just curious if anyone has purchased the tributes.

'Summer Side Of Life' is my favorite and therefore my suggestion for the next album to buy. Not a bad song on it, but then again, Gord doesn't write bad songs!
You can't go wrong with it or any album on your list.
Have fun!

"Summer Side of Life" is definately a good one. It has a certain summertime sound to it. It's very upbeat, the kind you select on your way to the beach or the mountains. The only difficulty would be selecting beach or mountains. Today I'll take the high ground.

Jennifer, we all have our favorite tributes, mine being the Toni Rice CD and the Lightfoot tribute album that came out a couple of years ago, with Cowboy Junkies, Ron Sexsmith, Burce Cockburn, Blue Rodeo, Terry Tufts, Aengus Finnan and a bunch of other Canadian artists.
