Interesting topic. I seriously doubt anyone would do the G.L. story, but then again some probably said the same about Buddy Holly. Nope...I can't see Gary Busey in this role. And I hesitate to mention it since he's had a string of bombs but how about...Kevin Costner? I think there is some resemblance today between the two, though not when Costner was younger and Gord was younger. Carrey might well be able to pull it off since he's a very good actor but I don't really see as much physical resemblance between Carrey and Gord as I do between Costner and G.L. That's my two Lincoln-head's worth!

Cat-Writer your two messages are worded slightly different.
If the system was responsible for the "double posts",they would be worded exactly the same.

What I think is that you tried to post the first one and it went but maybe it took to long so you typed out another.

I'm not nit-picking at you or picking on you, just pointing out that "exact" double posts are usually from hitting "add reply" to many times.

Overall though,no biggie apologies aren't necessary. ;)

Louise,I posted that humorous comment about Don Knotts back on August 16th,2004. That was a good 1 year & 1/2 before he passed on in February of 2006.

I was certainly kidding of course.

Oops!!! ;) :(  :(

I still say Billy Bob would be able to pull it off. Tall, lanky, and what a artist.

I think a good young Gordon could be portrayed by an actor named Chris Pratt.. here are some of his pictures..I think he's pretty much a dead ringer

bingo, i think you nailed it...good work

hopefully char is just touching up her screenplay then we're ready to roll'em;)

i'd hope Gord could just portray his current day self

Chris Pratt could get it done...very cute kid.
geeze I better learn how to write a screen-play...
and Brian has me as ghost writer for Lightfoot's life story too!
lol
damn I'm going to be busy!

hey, to lessen your two tasks, write the life story then adapt to screenplay...hey, you're 'almost famous'! :)

Good call, Beatriz. My vote goes to Chris Pratt to play the young Gord.

Had to bring this back to the top. Chris Pratt is on the cover of EW magazine this week. All I could think of was how much he looks like young Gord:

Steve Forrest reminded me of Gordon so much in the 1977 mini-series "Testimony of Two Men'' in so many ways. It was a great story, too. He died in 2013.

I still don't know how to post a photo but there's a promotional photo on the series with Barbara Parkins on Google that shows him where he looks so much like Gordon. That man had lots of charisma.

Someone mentioned Michael Parks a few years ago, but he is in his 70's now, so too old.
