Would love to hear Gord burn a cd or two featuring sounds of this wonderful season.

ClassicMixDJ,
I've always felt that way, too. And I know he sings Christmas music in church every Christmas morning. I'm sure all his followers would by a CD like that. (But I would have to insist that he include "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" on it, just to lighten the tone. In our family here, that's one of our favorite Christmas songs. Okay, so we kind of like to laugh whenever possible -- lol!) Stay loose, eh? LAMS ------------------ "Love and maple syrup go together like the sticky winds of winter when they meet.... If you go into the forest Gaze up through the trees The sky is white. You can understand What makes the forest Greet the man Like a mother's only child ..." |

ClassicMixDJ,
And I almost forgot our other two favorites ..."Jingle Bell Rock" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." Mix those in with the classic favorites and that would be a beautiful CD! Stay loose, eh? Elvis' did "Why Can't Every Day Be Like Christmas". Would not mind hearin' Gord take a stab at it. He could also do "Here Comes Santa Claus" for a toe-tapper.

Actually I was thinking of this quite recently. I started calling to mind familiar Christma songs like "Little Drummer Boy" and imagining what they would sound like if Gord sang them.
If you listen closely in the background on Song FOr A Winters Night you can hear "Jingle Bells" ------------------ Look into his shining eyes and if you see a ghost don't be surprised......Listen to the strings. That jangle and dangle while the old guitar sings. The lake it is said never gives up her dead, when the gales of November come early. |
I'm surprised Gordon doesn't have a Christmas CD yet. I would like to hear him sing "Merry Christmas From Our House To Yours" by Buck Owens or "It Doesn't Have To Be That Way" by Jim Croce or maybe "Silver Bells" would be nice with the Lightfoot touch. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
