Hi,
This is my first post. Just wanted to say I attended the Moncton, NB concert and came away with a new appreciation for the music. I grew up on Gordon Lightfoot music. Some songs go back before I was born, but they are as fresh now as they were then. The concert, although it was at the Coliseum, seemed cozy and intimate. When he launched into "Edmund Fitzgerald" I got chills. It felt like we were witnessing something really momentous. So glad to be able to be part of that audience. Really enjoy this site!

Hi Irish,

welcome to this forum, it's always nice to see new members :)
Seeing Gordon in concert really is just great. I went to my first one just last year and if possible, I also left with an even deeper love for his music.

Thanks Claudia. My only regret is not going backstage to meet him. I didn't have a pass, but apparently they weren't checking them anyway. Oh, well.....

Hello Irish,Borderstone saying welcome aboard! :)

Yes,you did witness something momentous. You had the great priveledge of seeing the kind of artist that barely exists in today's music world.

As far as the Canadian aspect of it goes (and those of us that are his biggest fans)you got to see a legend in action!
He's been a performer for over 45 years now and in show business, that's a grand accomplishment. :)

Meeting Gordon's not that difficult though, just wait out side the stage door exit with the other autograph & picture seekers and you will.

Check out my pictures of meeting him in the threads:

"Sit Down Young Border and Tell Us What You've Seen" and "Borderstone's Pictures Are Here" (second one posted by Char(lene) our modeertor. ;)

The deer was unpurpose. :D

Hi Irish,

Welcome to the Lighthead Board ----> CORFID !

I too was at the Moncton concert, where were you sitting ? The entire Atlantic concerts were pretty much sold out.

Mr. Lightfoot must have been pleased with the turn out... :)

Irish,
Hi!! and Welcome!!
So glad that you got to see Gord, in concert, in Moncton!!! :) It's an absolutely awesome event, isn't it?? It's almost like a religious experience. I pretty much have the "chills" for the whole concert.

We just got our tickets today, in the mail, for the Sept. 22 concert in Minneapolis. Am SO-O-O
excited!. :) :)

Hi Jesse-Joe. We were in the first row section 17. Had a pretty good view, slightly above the floor level. Where were you?

Hi Irish,

Had to display the seating to see where you were, and give you an idea of where we were...

We were on the floor, section 34, second row seat 1 to 4, and 7 to 10. I was seat 1 of course. {lol} Each row had 22 seats, 1 being centre, and 22 at the end. :)
