Ranee Lee, "Montreal's first lady of jazz," had a new CD just released called "Maple Groove: Songs from the Great Canadian Songbook." Her opening cut is 'If You Could Read My Mind'
[quote]: "I always knew I wanted to do that tune, and I already had the idea of how I wanted to swing it - and I hoped that Gordon wouldn't be too upset with that interpretation," she said with a laugh. "I said, 'That's the tune that should open the CD - and, of course Spinning Wheel should close it.'"

Seems like there's a Lightfoot renaissance happenin'. 'Bout time.
