Born Jan 31, 1972 in Dublin Ireland, Aengus and his two younger sisters spent the first few years of their lives just outside Wexford, where his parents worked as actors and writers until moving to Canada in 1975. There the Finnan family set up an organic vegetable farm in the rolling hills of Shelter Valley, Ontario. Complete with solar panels, windmills, and a greenhouse the farm was used as a retreat and workshop centre for many groups. Songs, stories, theatre, and a love for legends and lore filled their farmhouse through the winters, while the sweeping fields, quiet woods, nearby creeks, and dusty back-roads filled Aengus' childhood with summer adventures.
