It made me think, I vaguely remember Gordon during the opening ceremonies of the 1988 Calgary games. Does anybody remember what he sang.
Also, I saw Gordon on an old Saturday Night Live. Does anybody remember what he sang on that show. I can't remember.

gord and ian tyson sang ALBERTA BOUND for 60,000+ people in the freezing Calgary winter of 1988.

Oh wow, Char, I remember that! Pissed first husband off cuz I was glued to the TV screen and refused to change the station or turn it down. One of the few times I had the chutzpah to tell him to shut up or leave. LOL. You're right, everyone sang along and clapped, it was really electric and emotional. Thanks, Travis and Char, for bringing back a great memory!

I believe it was "Summertime Dream" and "Spanish Moss" that Gordon sang on SNL. That was a very long time ago - 1976 or 77.
