AFTER I HAVE THE FINAL FOUR SOMETIME THIS YEAR WOULD IT STILL BE WORTH THE 50 OR SO BUCKS FOR SONGBOK THANKS FOR ANY INPUT

"Always On The Bright Side" ALONE is worth the 50 bucks. (Also, you likely can find Songbook used for much less.)

I have to admit that my first (and second and third) reaction to your question has been: "you've got to be kidding". There are not enough superlatives to describe this collection, and EVERYBODY who has purchased it - many of whom have every album in more than one form already - has raved about it. This boxed set is a model of how a career collection should be put together. Read my article about it at www.gordonlightfoot.com , or go to Amazon and read the 55 reviews by Lightfoot fans around the world. The boxed set merits a 5 out of 5 rating from these fans; all folks like you and me. The fact that it also includes 18 songs you don't have (16 of which were never released before), is icing on the cake. Any fan who doesn't have it is cheating himself. When you take it home and listen, I'm sure you'll agree. You can sample the songs on my site, at Rhino, or at many of the online stores.

Yes - Buy It! The 4 CD's are packaged beautifully with an interesting booklet. The unreleased material will surprise you, some of it ranks with his best work (maybe an artist can be also judged by the quality of the work he doesn't release). But why wait? Enjoy it now.
