Duo - The Two Tones, with the late Terry Whelan. He was also a member of a high school barbershop quartette, The Collegiate Four. No trio that I'm aware of, though.

could be referring to 'trio' w/Howie Morris joining the Gord and Terry duo on bass?

or could be the Gord, Red and John outfit, dunno
