Gary Curkin has announced on the Newsgroup that he has found, scanned and then uploaded a picture of an Oldsmobile Toronado
once owned by a familiar person who the clipping calls "Light Foot"

I recall seeing that very car outside Massey's stage door one (for me anyway) very exciting evening (November 11th 1999)
John Fowles
When he stepped from the stage with his ax in his hand
And he run through the backstage door
from:-
http://gordon-lightfoot-lyrics.wonde...-It-Again.html
which also announces:-
SEND Gordon Lightfoot RINGTONES TO YOUR CELLPHONE
(OR CLICK TO VIEW OUR RINGTONE COLLETION)
but clicking the link predictably produces if you enter "lightfoot"
"0 Result for your query"
That reminds me I recently spotted and downloaded a programme called xingtone from.....you guessed it:-
http://www.xingtone.com
which promises the ability to make your own ringtone from any CD track

anybody in for a 6 minute "wrecktone"??!!
Gotta be better than the annoying jingle my stepdaughter now has on her "cellphone"
(mobilephone to you Brits)

I remember seeing that car outside Massey a number of times. It's a cream puff! It was watching those guitars go in and out of the trunk that would make it worthwhile to me!

Has anyone ever tried those ringtone download programs? I'd love to try this, or better yet get my teenager to do it for me!

I remember seeing that car beside Massey too. Hey, Jenney, didn't you take this shot that I just pulled out of one of my photo albums? I seem to recall that at the time we didn't yet know this was Gord's car...

Oh my goodness!! In about 1979 I drove a Toronodo that very color!! I guess I have a lot in common with Gord (I wish).

Ad continued:"The car also comes with an 8-track of songs like,"Hi'Way Songs","Canary Yellow "Car-Noe!","Carefree Highway","Sixteen Miles" and other road trip goodies!" :D

I did take that one! I remember I was trying to get a picture of the sign on the door that just said DOOR, to add to my collection of stupid signs! We were surprised later that night when we saw Gord climb into the car.
When both of the doors were shut, it actually said STAGE DOOR, which isn't quite as silly!
