I wrote this shortly after 9-11-01 when I read the writing on the wall.

A Love Letter

I so miss your voice in this room
I miss your footsteps coming down the stairs
I long to see your sweet smile and your shining eyes
But you had to go--- and I understand why

You and I have always shared a special love
Since that first day we've been bound so tight
Our love has been tried so many times and stayed true
And I cherish the memories of all that we've lived through

I so miss the days when we walked hand in hand
And the times we shared our thoughts and our dreams
It was sometimes hard to find the right words to say
But nothing has come as easy--- as these words I write today

I've been a little lost since we said good-bye
And I long for the day when I can see your face again
These many miles between us don't set us free
I'l always be bound to you--- and you to me
