Help me out somebody. For the past few days I have had this line running through my brain, But power, greed and corruptible seed, seem to be all that there is.
I have heard it somewhere but cannot for the life of me remember where. Help http://www.corfid.com/ubb/confused.gif |

Sorry Edna, It does sound like a Lightfoot song but I don't know it. Maybe you should post it on the GL forum and they may have an answer I don't usually come to this site, so maybe others don't either.

Close but no cee-gar. It's Bob Dylan's "Blind Willie McTell" - last verse:
Well, god is in his heaven an' we all want what's his But power an' greed an' corruptible seed seem to be all that there is I'm gazin' out the window of the St. James hotel But i know no one can sing the blues like Blind Willie McTell. |
Annie - you are so good!

Thank you very much Annie, shortly after posting this query I managed to track it down. I now have a 'Dylan' CD with that song on it. It must be one of his best. I have now added it to my repertoire, along with GL of course. Thanks again http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
