http://starman.server101.com/images/...20Harrison.jpg I was watching and listening to this fab song, and was wondering what this great man died off. Can anyone tell me? As I have forgotten, what took him away from us. He was another good one. ~Jesse~ :) [ September 06, 2006, 11:01: Message edited by: Jesse -Joe ] |
lots of info at GOOGLE.com
http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=...harrison&meta= Throat and lung cancer killed him. nov.21/01 - 58 years of age. He was a heavy smoker. |
Thanks Charlene, you know I never think of Googles, but you are right. I did go check it out, and lots of info, I did find.
Did you go to the CNE Air Show? If so, how was it? I heard something on the news, about the one in Halifax. It seems they would not want one type of plane, to be in . Because it's the same war planes that killed Canadian troops, by Friendly Fire...~Jesse~ [ September 06, 2006, 13:59: Message edited by: Jesse -Joe ] |
The Air Show was great - views from the 40th floor were fabulous!
Yesterday the Snowbirds flew over the house--a school just a couple of miles away is named for a Snowbird who died in a training flight in 1998 at age 29 and was built in 2001. They do a fly-past every year... They can't be anymore than 100 feet above ground when they go over... THey almost didn't do it because some farmer complained about the noise...sheesh...once a year to honour a Whitby kid. - there's always someone ready to rain on the parade...The kids and others in town were very happy to hear and see the team honour Michael VanDenBos. http://www.snowbirds.forces.gc.ca/si...tributes_e.asp and article with pic of Snowbirds http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Con...=1157321706892 and http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Con...=1157493014031 and about the jet that won't fly: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...g-airshow.html [ September 06, 2006, 15:00: Message edited by: charlene ] |

I imagine by then it was too late - the cancer had started probably. It's sad that a preventable disease stole him away at such a young age. |
