You might be able to find out where they're getting in. I pulled out the dryer a few weeks ago to clean, and I found a mouse hole chewed through the dryer vent hose. Got that fixed and haven't heard or seen of them since.

Two ways...First, get yourself two or three cats & let them roam around all over the house, including under your kitchen cabinets. Then, the next thing you do is to get some non-poisonous sticky traps to leave in the areas where the little "darlings" are frequently found to be leaving their little "gifts" and then check the traps twice a day to see if you catch something. It may take a while, but eventually you'll see results.

Thanks for all the very useful suggestions. Turning off the computer certainly has some merit. However, have managed to locate entry point into kitchen and blocked that off and no sign of the charming little rodent for past 3 days. I hope he or she and entire family has moved out, not holding my breath. Thinking very seriously of sending for Christopher Walken.
