Re: MASSEY HALL 1990 Review

This is a really nice review -- thanks for posting it Char! It seems every reviewer over the past 20 or so years have commented on his gaunt frame, but I thought the way this one described the voice of 1990 was particularly sweet.

It was also fun looking at the TV listings and seeing what was on, lol.

Also, it was right around that same time when I remember looking at my GGII cassette insert and wondering where in the world this "Massey Hall" was . . . pretty sure it didn't say Toronto. A lot changes in a few years. May will mark 10 years since my first trip to Massey! Can't believe it!

The really sad part is that our beloved Maple Leafs are STILL in the same boat heading to playoff time..lol
But as Gord himself says.. "ya GOTTA love the Leafs!"..

The insert should have said "The Church of Lord Gord"..then you'd have known..
;)

I remember putting the TV on for 2 yr.old Lisa every night at 7 to watch the Muppets (my son was 6 the day before this review). I used to tape them and still have the old videos but she now has some that have been released on DVD. Those old tapes are gettin' kinda 'scratchy"..

I think it's funny they refer to him BACK THEN as gaunt, when he was, what, 51? At least they didn't add "frail."
