One for the mathmaticians

A number is multiplied by it's self 4 times. The result is then divided by 194481 to give the original number. What is that number?

This is not the start of a long line of mindbending questions, just a one off.

A bit of both. Since the original number would be growing exponentially, I figured it would probably be double digits. I randomly tried 20. That was too low, but close. Next up was 21.........
