It would probably be best not to vote. The goal is to come up with a "final" list of (10 max.) songs that have been voted as LEAST favorite in head-to-head matches with other contenders.

Well I just found this. Thanks...

Lets find out what the bottom ten are.

Trouble is CYC is not my favorite ..and Toad is not my favorite. Both are in my bottom ten.

But i would not include CYC cause GL wrote it and didn't put in on any 'normal' released album. Songbook is a compilation...a hits thing..an anomally..

2 days old.....I started it on 3/1/09. The poll closes on Friday, and the highest vote getter will "advance" to the next round. The idea originated from your thread about the 'worst' Lightfoot tune. There were so many entries, I thought it best that the songs participate in a duel of sorts. The polls haven't opened for the next match-up yet but the contestants will be :

I just voted for liking UTS.

But I hate that song.

I don't like CYC either but I don't want to reference it 'cause I am anal about not including non 'released' album songs. I have other issues...

I understand your issue with the inclusion of CYC, but that song is an issue for me. I can guarantee it will receive my vote if it can survive the battles that may lie ahead.

I really don't have an answer for the 'already voted' problem. It should be one vote per person.

I listened to CYC this afternoon. I'd forgotten how good it is. Well....
The thing is ... its a GL attempt at rock'n roll..nothing wrong with trying. The attempt does not make it bad. Heck the chord structure and rythym are fairly standard.

So are you saying you don't like all RnR songs.???

Or is it just that he's singing about a yellow canoe...

Well, you have to consider the competition. Yes, there are rumors that CYC has used steroids, but for now, they remain unsubstantiated.

Yeah, sometimes you just end up in the wring bracket. I'm sure Uncle Toad would have been the winner(?) against some other candidates.

i had a shallow moment (but i confess it was an absolute riot, the crowd was frenzied) attending the new Hollywood Studios set of American Idol last week...the black host and judges were actually non-annoying, unlike the tv version...we attended the day's finale with a trailer park gal eventually taking the trophy/gold ticket

i was going to compete but they didnt have enough makeup and spray on hair to tart me up for the big stage and cameras...i was planning to bring down the house with a roll-over-beethoven-ish version of canary yellow canoe:headbang:
