can't figure why NBC (and CTV) reporters and GOov.of Cali are running when Canadian Olympians (several who are medal winners) were not asked...shameful.

there is no explanation.. they can 'explain' it every which way but it doesn't wash with me. previous olympians who spent years of their lives to be Olympians were not asked and spots were taken by news people and others who did not need to be there..

walter gretzky will be up soon. terry fox's dad just ran.. those are the people besides olympians and everyday canadians who should be running not a smarmy politician/has been actor and admitted steroids user while he was an olympian.

Did they show this New-Brunswick MLA in 'Ontario News' yesterday ? It has nothing to do with this thread but it sort of made me laugh... if only he was addressing the olympic committee for your argument here... lol ! It would then be really funny.

So sad about the luger who died today, only 21. Perhaps a representative from their team will be called on at the last minute to light the torch. Another name put forth is Betty Fox, Terry's mom.
