This concert was recorded in HD with 7 cameras.
Prior to the start I asked our group to stand as he walked onstage and give him a huge ovation. We did and the whole place stood for a prolonged ovation..Hope they got it all on video!
After the break when he was going to do IYCRMM (set list was identical in order to night one) I mentioned we should all do it again and we did. It was MAGICAL!! and HE loved it..

Lightfoot said some groups like to re-invent themselves, not us, we like to stay the same and try to improve...kinda like The Leafs! lol
He introduced the band, mentioning Terry again and that Carter is from Hamilton, a "Hammer!". One lone voice gave us the ARRRRGOS shout at that time..lol (Toronto Argos football team are big Hamilton Ti-Cat rivals) Carter is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan tho.

24. Baby Step Back - he said he was walking up the 7th fairway - "like this" - and did a little on the spot demo walk, "walking with a pull cart, before they had electric machines" to demonstrate the tempo of the tune he would then write. He's also recounted at other concerts his bro-in-law was up at the tee and kept stepping away and that's where the "Baby Step Back" came from.

Re: Massey 2011 set lists

HOLY F!

End of all time.... if borderstone were there, we'd soon be dialing 911!

thx for the set lists and notes as always, char :)

Beautiful had quite the groove to it...i even stayed awake for the whole thing:cool:

not sure where the film is headed but he did a lot of the same songs that he did on the Reno...it would be if there were 50% new stuff/variety on a new dvd

would have to compare the Reno list to the Thursday night list, then again, this time it's at Massey (plus w/Carter) and that makes it all new, regardless

hmmm, what's the ontario joke? is it a funny one? i mean, THE funny one? ;)

Beautiful had a samba thing going on, it was terrific to hear.
that IS the Ontario joke...was set up that they travelled, named some big cities around the world and then came in for the kill by saying "Ontario".. ba-dum boom. much laughter..
(Thank ya very much, I'll be here all week...try the veal..lol)
It was pretty funny...c'mon!
Then he trotted out the rabbit/hair joke...

More notes/comments and pics to come...I am still pooped and in full PMS..Post Massey Syndrome freefall..
