That thread with "Divorce Country Style"?

http://www.lightfoot.ca/divorce.htm

I just re-read the brilliant lyrics of "Divorce Country Style" and remembered there was a thread on www.corfid.com in the last couple of years that linked easily to a concert audio including that song (and the song "Partners"). Could someone please remind me?

Charlene,

Thanks for your email, but (as I mentioned in my email reply), I didn't get to use the link successfully. So I'm hoping the good folk who get on www.corfid.com regularly can direct me to a recording of that concert (or at least that song) via a one-click link.

odd - must be an Aussie thing. It worked for me. I'll see what else I can figure out.. I don't know if I can send or you can receive a 6.0 mb attachment.

Dave wjhilst I have not searched for the thread you remembered
I can tell you that
Regarding the splendid but evidently flawed 1974 Massey Hall bootleg that contains Partners Divorce Country style, Tennessee Stud and Pleasuresof the Night to list only the unreleased rarities, there was an mp3 set uploaded to mediafire that has sufferred the fate of all such uploads and is now blocked.

there has been a seeded torrent on Dime that is now on their list of dead torrents but it you
search for "gordon lightfoot" on:-
http://tela.sugarmegs.org/default.aspx
you can listen/see the setlist/download the low quality streaming wma file from sugarmegs
the setlist is at
http://tela.sugarmegs.org/_asxtela/a...ntoCanada.html
click the listen link to err umm listen to it as a complete continuous concert or you can
right click the download link and select "save target as" to err umm umm download and save it you'll get a 28.7MB wma file
media info screenshot

JohnFowles,

Thanks for making that effort. The Sugarmegs links worked up to the point where I clicked on Listen and then gave me an error message. I don't know if it's "an Aussie thing" or just my equipment. Not to worry.

That seems rather inexplicable. did you try to save target as?
Because there should be no reasson why you could not download the wma file. Surely it is available on the archive.org website for anybody in the world to access and download.Or try simply clicking that download link
I just tried it to try to copy the archive.org URL that initially appears in the address bar but consistently it immediately was redirected to the listen link and the concert began

John,

Thanks for your PM and (as I said in my PM reply) your advice enabled me to find and enjoy two very different live versions of "Divorce Country Style". Much appreciated.
