Walt,
I don't know how you get a backstage pass. I would imagine unless you know GL or have some special connection it is pretty hard to get. The way I'll be able to meet him is that the concert is a benefit concert -- so to raise money for this nonprofit they are selling more expensive tickets and the people who want to support the cause (or like me, who also want to meet GL) can buy those tickets and then will be able to go to a special reception after the concert.

I've heard of many people meeting GL by just hanging out at the back stage door after a concert and waiting until the band comes out to leave. Apparently GL and the band are very gracious about taking the time to sign autographs and talk to people. You have to be patient I think because it may take awahile, but I have heard that this is how many folks have met him. GOOD LUCK.
