Rez, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's set back! Please give her my best and a hug.

It's too bad about your plans having to be put on hold, but I agree that taking care of your mom is most important and you have to take care of yourself by not not filling your plate too full in order to be able to take care of her. It's just a temporary thing - she'll get back on her feet in no time, I'm sure.

I took care of my grandmother the last eight years of her life after numerous strokes. One must make personal sacrifices, but they are well worth it. I wouldn't have done anything differently and I wouldn't trade one moment of taking care of her for anything in the world. I'm sure you feel the same way.
