Does anyone here remember Gerry Rafferty? He was a Scotland born singer/guitarist who fronted Stealer's Wheel in the early 70s and then had a fairly successful solo career in the latter 1/2 of the decade?

With Stealer's Wheel it was "Stuck In The Middle With You" and "Star".

Solo it was "Baker Street","Right Down The Line","Home and Dry","Days Gone Down (Still Got The Light In Your Eyes)" and "Get It Right Next Time,"

Happy to say I have collected all of his solo 70s works (most notably "City To City" and "Night Owl") and 1 Stealer's LP & a few 45's. Was anyone else here a fan back then and if so,are you still now? Anybody else new to Rafferty or even just hearing about him now?

I brought this up because I heard Baker Street on the satellite system at work and I realized it would be a good subject. (He came on right after Al Stewart strangely enough, two of my favorites!) (...and yes,he's still alive and about to turn 60 sometime.)

Been me. Later!
