Welcome to the forum IfChildrenHadWings. The 1976 tune "The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald" was what first got me started into GL when my dad had it downloaded onto the internet. But after awhile it was deleted, but he had the Gord's Gold Volume 2 version. I didn't like it as much as I did the original version. However, there were other songs on that album that I did like.
Later I got Summertime Dream (with the original on it) and even more later I got Songbook. I was able to compare a lot of the original tracks of songs with the re-recorded ones on GG2, and that's what REALLY got me hooked as a GL fan.
