Wish I had been able to go to the show at the Sun! Lucky you .

Thanks, and I was born in Taunton, Mass., just haven't lived there since the 70's. I doubt Gordon authorized those shirts, probably someone doing it on thier own accord. But then at $10 per shirt, it is not a rip off and maybe he did ok it.
The Sun show was excellent and he sounded better than he did in Torrington, which I seen just about 6 months before he got ill. I wonder if the illness was already effecting him at the time as he sounded a bit strained at that time, but then it could just have been too much toward the end of a tiring tour, which probably didn't help the illness part either. I heard some of the audience talking at the Sun, and they really enjoyed his show and they were remarking how good he sounded. I told tell him and Barry that after the show, and I think they really appreciated it. That is when Barry mentioned about coming back to the Sun. I also gave him some static on his smoking just after the illness. As he said, "we all have to have some vices" I remember he said that same thing to me about 10 years earlier in a lobby at a motel when we were sitting around talking, and I said "I was surprised he smoked", that was after he gave up alcohol. I bet he's still smoking. Whatever, it never hurt his singing, and we all have to have some vices.
