Default Re: GL Lyrics fan(atics) fun quizzers and more !

In 1968, every time the U.S.S. Enterprise returned to its homeplanet, and was sure glad, as a gallant crew, to be back home on our 3rd rock from the sun. Ah yes, and to be able to see the green, green grasses back here, and to to have shore leave, R&R, and stop, and smell the flowers, little yellow ones, back home, here on our planet. On this planet, over 70% of the earth is covered in water; and hidden in the water are trecherous geologic features near outcroppins and rocky shores/cliffs. Many a ship has scuttled in them, much as the Cutty Sark type of ship around the horn would. And nurse Chapel from the U.S.S. Corfid was so happy to to have some time off, and here loved ones call her byher first name, instead of Bones calling her 'NURSE!'. or "Nurse Chapel !. One of the Osmond Girls first name was part of the short list attending the return home celebration, thanks to a little Lighthouse, called our sun, when things got rough. And it sure was good to be back here. on Terra Firma !

Note The year, and some of the blue clues pertain to the album and/or cover art, and others in blue as well are in fact alluding to the two words in the name of the song, and yet others in blue too pertain to the distinguishin geologic features under water that are in the song, as well as the beacon. This ship, - the U.S.S. Corfid that is, well, they just sure seem happy to be back on Tera Firma ! And odd for a near -scuttling ship in a Lightfoot song, this one ...does not.

Think that through, dust off the lp jackets or jewell cases, and consider the words above and the year. It just dosn't get anybetter than that ! I'm all but givin it too ya ! Now that, is for Q200.Anybpdy that nukes this one is gettin tired of the hunt ! Please , no nukes no nukes no nukes ! Come on guys ! I'd rather have you in this one case look it up, after al those clues are considered first - I've clue'd the whole thing on this page alone. You guys are the masters ! The few, the proud, the men in Black t-shirts ! pull ou the UA years and look at the covers and song lists if you need to instead of no nukes !
==================================
Now, on Q204 - What would an old salt keep up on a table beside this lyrical trunk of sorts (full a' ( ) on an old sailing ship. And, a table with them rolled out flat. And on this table , and scatterrd around the ( )-room, where I'd be happy,would be so many things, that if the old salt dissappeared wold be found to be a lot of Q's/( ) , FAR MORE THAN NECESSARY, TO SOLVE WHAT HAPPENED. In this navigational-aid-chamber in the old wood ship. Calipers, a rule, a sextant, a chronometre- brass likely, from Switzerland or Germany. And a book of Ephemerides, from her Majesty's Office of calculating navigational aid star position tables, with right-ascension and declination, or altitude and azimuth for more likely, a solar-shot. Al and all, this paraphernalia , so much... might be thought of by a forensic investigator to be far, far, more elements of info leading to the navigators demise. And to think, near 200 years later, a shuttlecraft would put a giant telescope into space, and in 1969, arounf 7 years ealier than an important year for a big shipwreck, there would be men on the moon, And the lucky stiff that one the flip of the quarter would have to listen forthe rest of his life, that Neil Armstrong was the first man to step foot on the moon. The other astronaut - Buzz Aldrin , might have been so sadly dissapointed, there could very well have been a ( ) on the moon that night.
OK- biggest clues for a UA and a Warner song, one very characterisitic of Lightfoot's, and one real head-scratcher with much eclectic information in it. Maybe Gord calls it ethereal, I dunno on one, may be metaphorical...

If this helps ya have fun, great ! Otherwise, in a day or so, maybe by late evening, we will put ten new ones up, and leave these up. They are easier than ya think !

Have fun guys and gals - Linda and formerlyLavendar - we may need a fresh set of eyes on these two left per the chart(s) with big X's ! Q200 and Q204 and respective Clues. above !
