Default Re: The Sixties

nice, those things are pricey (or good reason i suppose) or i would have bought one as a gift

another non-hitech item i have in one room is this and it was only $150 from Sears:

http://www.audiobuys.net/Teac/1930.htm

it can hookup to my main stereo for recording LPs to tape or CD or for fuller listening using external speakers, but i've just left it as is (no cords to worry about, just plug and play)...it's paying tribute to the all in one Lloyds system that i grew up listening to GL tunes to...you know, the cassette, 8 track, radio, LP player with bad speakers...i blew the woofer out in it's first week so most bass-y songs like Sundown were listened to over and over with that broken woofer sound effect, lol

anyhow, back to the 60's..i am just listening to an LP collection of carols with dinah shore, jim reeves, steve and edie, goulet, como, bennet, willaims, etc ...sweet stuff, just a bit crackly, lol
