Default Re: Gord for Christmas

Some nice, thoughtful gifts there formlav!

Unusual that I didn't receive any music (no songbooks, CD's, guitar strings) as gifts this Christmas -but my son did give me Collin's GL biography. Which I appreciate the thought even though I don't care for biographies...rarely read them -and rather prefer autobiographies.

I read 1/2 last night and there are some interesting parts. Am pleased that it's not a TMI tell all @Gordon's personal life -so I appreciate the general info in that regard and how Collin's ties it directly to how it relates to GL's work.

But the usual disappointment -I find more frequently in biographies (and one of the main reasons that I don't care for them) is when an author gets their facts wrong . I was really getting into reading @the Mariposa, but then Collin's mistakenly refers to the Newport Folk Fest in "New York State" (it's Newport, RI) and that kinda killed it for me. I did continue reading the book, but will Evelyn Wood through when I pick back up on it.
