Default Namesake of Lynyrd Skynyrd passes away @ 77.

Hi folks, long time no post. I saw this on the internet today and thought I'd post it.

Leonard Skinner, 77, a former school teacher and namesake of Lynyrd Skynyrd, died September 20th of Alzheimer's disease in Jacksonville,Florida. He went quietly in his sleep.

He was working at Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville,FL itself,
in the late 1960s when he sent a group of students to the principal's office because their hair was too long. Those students later formed a band, using a variation of Skinner's name for their own.

Whether he liked it or not,he helped in the creation of legenday rockers.

RIP , with respect.
