Default Re: Gord on the BBC Again 1969-EMR - VIDEO link posted

Where is Bru when you want her I seem to recall that Rolf sang The Gypsy at her prompting but I may well be wrong.
Anyway a tremendous find Char. Well done "Old Nick"
So Gym you are off the hook as somebody calling himself "sirlongpass" (not me!!) has done the hard work for you already.
i couldn't help noticing on the youtube page that amongst sirlongpass's other uploadings were several by the group Humble Pie.I initially mistook that as the group that made Billy Connolly with the late Gerry Rafferty famous but no they were the Humblebums. The only youtube videos of that group are audio plus still picturex items.
On a whim I then searched youtube for Conolly videos
Nowadays most of his comedic output is concernrd with Anglo Saxon expletives.and deep blue jokes about bodily functions and liquids , but he is on occasion a fine actor (I recommencdd his Scottish Gillie to Judi Dench's Queen Victoria in Mrs Brown)
I also have two television Billy Conolly World Tour series.(Australia and New Zealand) and was most pleased to find a youtube video of the best part of the former, where Billy gave a very tasteful tour of William Rickets Sanctuary near Melburne. To visit that was one request I made of (catman) Ron Chidgey when he so kindly gave us a sightseeing tour of his home area during our visit back in April 2007 but I got outvoted and we had plenty to see at an animal sanctusry instead (patting a dingo and feeding a 'roo); Anyway here is Billy in serious mode
That forcibly reminds me Ron has not posted here since June 2010 over two years.Has anybody had any contact recently???
I hope all is well with him I'll send him a PM referring to this thread and if I can get the timing right I might try the telephone too
