It's a good thing that you are getting it checked out. At least then you can take a deep breath of relief and know that all is well. Myself, dad, brother, uncles etc. will have to checked for the same exact thing that you are because my grandfather had it.
I know exactly how you felt because a surgeon told me that he wanted me to have a procedure done a couple of months ago and I was freaked as it came from out of left field. Man, I am very thankful for all the tests that can be performed to catch things before they can become a problem but geeze, it's the anticipation that get's ya.
