Jen, I bought my very first Gord LP from Sam's when I was there in the 70s. I spent hours on my knees upstairs, searching through hundreds of albums. I would return on a daily pilgrimage.
I find the loss of 'Sam the Record Man' really upsetting. I'm a traditionalist, I hate for things to change. I hate that Sam's will be no longer. Yonge Street will not seem like Yonge Street without that store.
