So will "A Painter Passing Through" be out-of-print soon as well? It too had to do just as bad on the charts because it gets no air time, not even in Canada (according to some of our Canadian members). "Waiting For You" is one of my favorite CD's and I have 3 original copies of it. There are at least 2 on Ebay right now, one of which has a "buy-it-now" option for $8.95. IMO, it ranks up there with some of his better known material that was on the charts.

One of the best love songs ever written is "I'll Prove My Love". The song "Restless" is one of my all time GL favorites. "Fading Away" is great as well as "the title track "Waiting For You". "Drink Yer Glasses Empty" is another great on on the CD. Also can't forget about Dylan's "Ring Them Bells". The whole CD is great and I am sure it is a favorite amongst most of us.

To me, this is some of his best work hands down. Obviously, he was not trying to write music or produce it for the masses in hopes of some great comeback on the charts. It is the artist once again at work for he and his fans. There are no frills or any hint of begging to get back on the charts. It's 100% Lightfoot in his usual, uncompromising style.

I have an extra copy that I burned for the car. If you want it, I can send it along.
