I suspect some of them only know Gord's music from the hits of the 70s/early 80s. You can tell from the write-up if they're fans who follow his music and career (and voice) or not. Reviewers don't have to be familiar with their subjects in detail; they just call it like they see (or hear) it at the time. So if his voice sounds hoarse or thin to them - compared to what? 30 years ago? The previous night's concert? I don't worry about reviewers. Gord ALWAYS takes two or three songs to warm up the vocals and if you've been to more than one of his concerts in the last 20 years you know that.
