Complete Gr. Hits?

I recently bought Comp. gr. Hits and I like it,but,one question. Why does it not include the #64 hit "Talking In Your Sleep" ? Not that I'm urgent about it,but I feel that since they included all of his other Billboard Hot 100 Hits,why not that one? Then it would truly be complete. I'm not trying to nitpick,honestly! Of course if I were I'd mention "You Are What I Am" and "That Same Old Obsession" which is actually 1 single and the songs reached #101 and #102,just outside the Hot 100. Oh,well. Just an observation. 14 K. Gold,singing off! ...and yes,I mean singing.

There is a simple answer to your question. There were to be only 20 songs. Rhino did the original selection of material; Gord didn't have a chance to get involved until very late in the process. He was only able to make one change - and that was to replace Talking In Your Sleep with Restless. You can read Gord's comments on that in the interview I did with him last March (see the link on the main page of my web site).

So you have to blame Gord! I, for one, have no complaints. Restless is a great song and the Waiting For You CD is out of print. With it on the Complete Greatest Hits CD, many people will get a wonderful and unexpected treat.
